After a great deal of button-pushing, menu browsing and taking of photos, I've finally completed my Olympus E-510 Guide.
In short: this is a remarkable camera with features galore, and a great camera for those who are just making the leap from compact point-and shoot to digital SLR.
Here's the quick overview of what the E-510 has to offer for those of you who are just learning about it:
- Dust Control System - the Olympus SuperSonic Wave Filter removes dust particles and keeps the sensor clean
- Live View LCD - allows you to preview the photo you're about to take on the camera's LCD, just like a compact digital camera
- Built-in Image Stabilization - helps you take photos in low light without a flash, but is also useful for slow shutter speed photography without a tripod
- Small and Light - the special sensor in the E-510 means that the lenses for it are smaller and lighter which makes the camera quite portable
- Modes Galore - while the feature set of the E-510 might be intimidating to the beginner, I see it as providing room to grow as photographic skill improves

I have recently purchased this amazing camera and it was well worth it. My first decent digital camera and it is awesome.
